“Increasingly, we are seeing a need for a more systematic, thorough approach to the risks posed by mental illness. We know that we have the tools and experience to provide genuine support to businesses in this area, which is why we designed this mental health assessment and policy pack.”

Mental Health Policy Pack from The Legal Director
Mental health issues have been brought to crisis point by the pandemic with isolation, loneliness, financial concerns and health fears having had devastating consequences for many people. In the workplace, poor mental health can impact your employees physically and psychologically leading to increased absenteeism, high staff turnover, poor employee morale, poor decision making, and decreased productivity.

Here at TLD, we firmly believe that businesses that prioritise mental health will reap real benefits. According to a survey conducted by Mind, 60% of employees said they’d feel more motivated and more likely to recommend their organisation as a good place to work if their employer took action to support their mental well-being and there have been several studies linking well-being with productivity.

We understand that addressing these issues requires some organisation and thought, but the steps needed to meet your obligations and make a difference to your employees are not overly onerous or expensive and start with a good mental health assessment.

Frustrated by the lack of good quality mental health assessments available generally, we decided to harness the knowledge and experience amongst our team and have designed a pack that will help your business. It will clarify your rights and obligations as an employer in this area and identify the level of risk within your organisation.

Based upon requirements in the HSE’s Management Standards, it will take you step by step through how to engage with your employees, how to address current issues and how to put in place practical improvements, including a mental health policy for your organisation to follow.
