Richard has over 25 years of experience leading in-house legal teams in the technology sector to provide effective, practical, actionable and pragmatic legal services that identify and help achieve business objectives whilst managing risk. He has worked extensively for US public companies, with specific experience of creating and scaling legal functions within hypergrowth company environments that are demanding and fast-paced.
Before joining TLD, he worked at Zscaler Inc, a cyber-security company, as Head of Legal for the EMEA region, as well as previously working in senior roles for other large technology companies including VMware and BMC Software.
After working in-house for many years, he understands the importance of providing legal advice and solutions that deliver value and can be quickly implemented. As well as leading on all manner of commercial issues, his practice has covered a broad range of matters across the business such as data privacy, ethics and compliance, employment and real estate.
